SEO Audit with XPath (Google Sheet Included)

Good morning. I hope the weekend was enough to boost your batteries for another round of crazy. No matter the size of your project or business, SEO can deplete anyone's batteries, and if there is something we need to do right now, with all the craziness our lives have been thrown at is, wind down. It's ok not to fill 100%; it's ok not to feel happy all the time.

Take some time, close the damn PC and go for a walk to the park or talk with some friends.

Bing uses user engagement metrics for ranking websites in search. This is not entirely news since it's included for a while now in their Webmaster Guidelines . Keep in mind that Google has been known to publicly denounce the usage of user engagement statistics for ranking purposes, only to be called out by Rand Fishkin a few weeks back who went through the Google internal documents submitted from the Hearing on "Online Platforms and Market Power: Examining the Dominance of Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google."

Squarespace can now show GSC data within their platform . Considering that a considerable amount of sites are hosted with Squarespace, this is some excellent news.

Personal favorite news of the week - You can now create more dynamic reports using improved controls and parameters within Google Data Studio.

XPath SEO Cheatsheet - Google Sheet Included

I won't prolong this further. Here's this week's little gem. XPath is one of the most reliable tools in my arsenal. It sounds so small and straightforward, but I am confident enough that ever since I started using XPath professionally, I have become better, faster, and more productive than ever.

Next week I will show you how to use XPath with Screaming Frog to pull a massive amount of data from thousands of pages within minutes.
