I've set up shop at BrainTool.org for my BrainTool app. But early on I also bought MyBrainTool.com and aBrainTool.com (I also have an older informationspace.net site). Other than the .net one they are currently just parked. I'm wondering if there is value to them from an SEO perspective. Is it worth throwing up a basic landing page and giving BrainTool.org some backlinks? Something else I should consider?
Thanks for any advice.
Pure registrar parking is 100% worthless for your business. At the minimum, point/redirect them to your base domain. Alternately, you can setup some specifically-targeted landing pages on each of them. What that would be for your product, I'm not sure, but they're doing you no good at all right now. Best of luck!
Thanks. Yes, totally agree they are doing me no good parked! Like many of us here I've been picking up domains I might use for a number of years. It was only when reading about backlinks recently that it occurred to me to put them to use.
I'll probably set up some quick static landing pages with appropriate keywords and links back to my main site.
When you have other domains parked on your domain, there is a chance to have duplicate content. when it happens Google penalizes the sites with duplicate low-quality content.
