SEO Content Recommendations

I have a small budget for help with content articles for mental health topics. Specifically I'm looking for someone to write a new article or expand existing articles every month on an ongoing basis. Any recommendations? App is www.journeytogether.io

It does depend on your goals and budget. With a small budget you'll be able to get articles that hit a few keywords, but you won't have any strategic direction with them (you'll have to do that yourself). It's likely the writing will be competent, but have grammar or localization issues if it's farmed out to a culture different to yours.

You can get that kind of thing on upwork or other "content mills" and they might do what you want for $30-50 per article. Maybe even less.

The risk is that you'll pay your money, get your content on the blog, and not see anything in terms of results, meaning you'll give up before much happens.

The alternative is to pay more for better writers, who'll research original insights, use premium SEO tools, and do a better job of internal linking and building up your content library. They'll work as an extension of your "marketing department", representing your brand in your voice, rather than that of some random writer.

You could use a service like mycontentpal https://mycontentpal.com/pricing/money-content-pricing which I think is aimed at SEO and affiliate marketers, so the price is pretty low. ($100 / 1000 words). My own agency works with funded startups only so I won't try to offer you my stuff.

Freelancers' price ranges vary based on expertise. I write stuff close to your niche, but after years of experience in content marketing I'm able to charge $750 for 2000 words. (That said, I do work with companies with large content budgets).

If you really want your app and brand to shine, farming out cheap SEO content might honestly not be a good use of your small marketing budget. If you've got a personal story as a founder, why not write them yourself? It could look much more honest, and you'd free up that budget for other growth strategies.

I'm not criticizing you at all, just offering a bit of perspective :)

Thanks! My challenge is having time with a full-time job and family of 5 so having a partner I can work with for SEO Content is worth a try for me.

Look in some SEO marketplaces. There are some of the cheapest SEO articles in those. I can’t recommend any. You’re gonna have to do some research.

Thanks! Did realize there were niche marketplaces for SEO. 🤦‍♂️ You are referring to sites like MarketHire where I can hire a freelancer?

No. Freelancers are quite expensive for what you’re looking for. Although if your budget allows for it, do it.

There are vendors who deal specifically in SEO content. You can get articles for really cheap prices.
