SEO Project Idea 💡(Massive Traffic Opportunity)

Hey, IH!

I'll make this brief. Today, Microsoft announced their new browser Edge is now stable and installable on just about every device known to man.

You can bet your bottom line that Microsoft will be installing it on all of the ~1 billion active Windows devices, and many others will use it in enterprise environments on other devices (because it comes with a legacy IE mode).

So, here's my idea. Edge is built on Chromium - which is what Google Chrome is built on. Several hundreds of millions of users are going to be asking questions in Google and Bing about "How to do ____ in Edge". They want to know how to use their new browser that their employer is forcing them to use.

You can be the resource! And luckily, you can almost duplicate existing Chrome articles for lots of the features in Edge.

Will this traffic be valuable? I'm not sure. But there will be a lot of it. Maybe you can come up with something to sell, or maybe a chrome/edge extension that you can promote to that traffic.

Someone grab a domain and get writing!

great idea, go for it !
Microsoft has already a store for edge extension : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/collections/edgeextensions/

Hmm, well who's your target audience here? If it's just employees of a company, they're probably only concerned with work-related things. Idk if there's anything useful in that sort of traffic.
The only thing I can think of that could be meaningful(?), is what features users will be trying to figure out how to do in Edge, and what websites they will be visiting in order to solve their problem. This only applies if there are major differences between Edge and IE. I don't use either, so I don't know.

Yup, which is why I questioned if the traffic would be valuable.

At the end of the day, you could at least just run ads. But the traffic opportunity will be big (just like it is now for chrome).
