Serious Games hiring newsletter- seeking wisdom to help improve landing page

Hi! I'm Kit, and I'm about a week in to my quest to turn https://www.SeriousGamesJobs.com in to a natural meeting place for talent and opportunities for people using games technology (including Unity and Unreal Engine) beyond entertainment.

The goal for the site is to become a resource for this niche community. People who have the skills to build game-like real-time systems such as immersive teaching tools, real-time VR & AR apps or synthetic environments for AI training, will ideally find relevant work opportunities through without having to wade through generic IT or software development roles. That's been a frustration I've felt both when hiring for an established team and when searching for a new role myself.

We're starting with a weekly newsletter which is a digest of relevant jobs from around the internet. Our fist users came from a very bare site generated with LaunchRock, however I've since revamped the site based on a template from the fantastic Tailwind Starter template and I'm looking for feedback.

Oh indie hackers, I seek your wisdom!
Do you think the page gives you a decent idea of who would benefit from signing up?
Does it feel trustworthy and would you be comfortable passing on your email? How can I improve this landing page and grow our newsletter readership?

Thanks in advance, indie hackers!

"Nice concept. UI-wise, tighten the hero to clearly say who it's for, stick with one core CTA, and have a brief preview (3 example job cards + a newsletter excerpt) so visitors don't subscribe blindly. Add trust signals around the form (frequency, sources, brief FAQ). I tested similar card + CTA layout patterns on my site for UI reference: https://avatarworldmodapk.org/."

Cool niche and clear problem. To improve conversion: make the value prop + who it’s for obvious above the fold, show a sample newsletter with expected jobs/week, add trust (about you + privacy/no spam), and use small social proof (subscriber count/testimonial).

It's nice, but could use some tuning up. @braydentw made a theme called Lightning Blue News. I'd suggest you check it out.

Thank you! I think I'll see if I can work the content a little better but I do like the look of Lightning Blue- I might investigate that in a bit more detail soon!

I've worked on a number of games in my career (Apex Legends, NFS, FIFA, etc) and also hired developers for gaming studios. Here my feedback:

    1. There should be some serious gaming (pun intendend) artwork on the page.
    2. Is the newsletter just for frontend (3D, visual, audio, etc) jobs or also for other roles (e.g. services, Ops, legal, business)? Who's your audience?
    3. Who are you? :) Why should I subscribe? What makes you different from LinkedIN?
    4. For sponsors: how big is your audience? Is there a track record of you finding good candidates?

    Good luck!

Thanks so much! Really appreciated. The newsletter itself is in a very early stage, so I'm hoping to have some more success stories to broadcast soon. Very good points about the who & why- I'll see if I can cover that more effectively. And I'll definitely do some hunting for that artwork!
