Service exchange website/platform?
Hi everybody!
Since right now I don't have any side projects, I was brainstorming ideas and I thought of something: a marketplace where people could exchange services/expertises.
What I mean by that is people could post their expertise and the service they are looking for and people could "apply" and propose.
E.g "I will create you a logo for a blog post" or something like that.
It would be something like fiverr but instead of money, you would pay with your time.
I haven't thought about monetization yet, it would be a fun project if there is potential/demand for something like this.
Could you tell me your opinions? Thanks in advance!

There was a guy that tried this (you can see the interview on Failory), but he failed because he needed to create a pretty big audience (so if you offer a logo, you'd have to pitch the idea to 100s of people in order to find someone interested in a) Getting a logo b) Offering a blog post in return).
When you have too much time and you love working on that you do not have to think about monetization. Though if your aspiration is to create value for yourself at the end of the day you should really think about monetization.
PS: For me personally monetization does not mean to put ads on your website. That is not good enough anymore.
