Service with anonymous employees, giving a review of their companies to other users.

Hello hackers, need a bit of advice :)

In Ukraine, we have a lot of IT companies. Some of them are nice and well-known, some of them are pitch black. We've got a relatively small dev community (4,5k users), and someone constantly asking questions like "Is that company good? Should I consider their job?"

We've decided that it would be cool to create some service, that connects you with real employees of some company. You can ask questions about some employers from real people. All users will pass verification by admins and after that anonymized.

Would you use service like that?

How is it different to Glassdoor?

Didn't know about that site, thanks! Guess, what I'm talking about is already invented :)

For what it's worth, Glassdoor is rumored to be more of a PR management firm these days, deleting negative reviews and giving little weight to old reviews

So just because Glassdoor has a foothold doesn't mean that you can't make this work. Job seekers still want to know the truth about the place they will work. It seems reasonable that you could niche down to this, but you have a lot of questions to answer:

Just off the top of my head..

        • How are you going to get this site in front of people in this industry to write reviews?
        • How would job seekers know to look for this site? Wouldn't they just find Glassdoor?
        • How can you verify that the reviews are reasonably authentic?
        • What happens if you get an angry cease & desist from a company?
        • How do you moderate it? How do you ensure that the companies with reviews are even real?

How do users trust that you'll keep the data anonymized and not sell out to companies?

Only my personal responsibility can be a solid guarantee. If users know, whom they're giving their data -- it will be easier for them
