Hi Indie Hackers,
I recently picked up a wonderful book called '4000 weeks - Time Management for Mortals' and it has a great exercise that Warren Buffet advocates to help set your priorities.
Step 1: Make a list of 25 things that you want out of life.
Step 2: Rank the top 5 things in the list.
Buffet says that anything outside of the top 5 are the distractions that are tempting enough to matter but that will ultimately keep you from achieving your goals.
Step 3: Organize your time around activities that bring you closer to your top 5
I was quite surprised by the stuff that I thought was important outside my top 5 and I'm sure you will be too!
P.S - I found it hard to think of 25 things I want out of life at first but once you ask yourself the question you'll find you are thinking of new things even a few days after the exercise. Feel free to change your top 5 as new things pop-up on your list. Keep building 🚀
