Setting Up a Federal Corp in Canada

Does anyone here have any experience with setting up a federal corporation in Canada?

I'm a solo Indie Hacker and in the past I've ran into road blocks when exploring ideas when I don't come across as a legitimate business and can't process payments etc.

I want to trial a drop shipping project but I need a business in order to become a distributor with various suppliers. From the research I've done a Federal Corporation is the best approach to take.

My questions are what is actually involved in the annual reporting process?

What documents or logs need to be created from day one?

From the research I've found I have to submit a report on chairman meetings throughout the year (meetings with myself?)

The process of actually creating the federal corp online seems relatively straight forward but the process of maintaining specific documents throughout the year seems to be a black hole.

It seems like the only approach is to approach an accounting firm and hand over thousands of dollars.

From the research I've done so far these are the things I need to do after setting up a federal corp.

• Create a business agreement - How does this work for multiple projects under the same business name
• Disclaimers/Privacy Policy, GDPR, anti spam
• Trademark my business name
• Setup a business bank account

Any tips or pointers to an online course or blog post is appreciated. I'll be operating the business out of British Columbia if that helps.
