Several ways to go: paid plan, bug fixing or marketing - which is the right one?

From Indie Hackers I learned, how crucial marketing really is, and shifted my focus from developing to marketing.
I had a good time doing this and several successes:

  • Had an article in the local newspaper
  • Increased my free signups from 200 to 1500 in 2.5 months
  • Found like-minded people that already started to help my with my project https://prepper-app.com

Now I see different options to go further:

  1. Start providing a paid plan and find out what users are really willing to pay for my service
  2. Remove remaining bugs that people using my service are reporting
  3. Continue with marketing and even spend money on a small promotion video that can be used on social media and my landing page

Only after all three options I would continue to add further features.
Which option from 1-3 would you focus next?

You want to make sure you are building something for people who will pay for it. If you solicit feedback and build what you think you want, or what random people request, that is VASTLY worse than building something from the feedback of people who are actually already paying you money.

Start charging, see if people will pay for it as it is now. If they don't do interviews and ask questions like "I'm going to build X feature, do you want to pre-register?". See what people will actually pay for and build that.
