Hey,
I suck at schedules. I suck staying organized & keeping track of my tasks. Luckily, I have tools that help me out - and I'm sure you do too.
Share one productivity tool, that helped you become more efficient/organized, or you feel indie hackers should know about.
ClickUp keeps me organized. The "Home" tells me exactly what I have to do each day.
That, along with just standard Outlook calendar and scheduling out my day, keeps me on track.
Second for ClickUp! I've found the way it's organized to be much better than similar apps like Trello.
This is a fast way to find a file on your PC: https://www.voidtools.com/ It indexes all the filenames on a drive.
Brain.fm is nice, never thought I'd pay for that, but I do! Use the focus and meditation mode very often. Nice way to get more focused for a couple of hours.
Oh it absolutely has to be Trello. Love a good Trello board. Fabulous for collaboration. A friend of mine introduced it to me when also teaching me about Kanban.
Only slight problem is it's really up to you 'how' you organise your board, i.e. it doesn't give you a helping hand on how to be more productive. I've experimented with different things over the years and have settled on a workflow that works for me but whether it would be comprehensible to anyone else (because i'm weird and made up a custom labelling system and levels and all kinds of things) I am unsure!
Happy to share of course.
Hi Hessel! I've had a lot of luck with Trello for keeping track of tasks. I use it as an Agile board, as well as a CRM. Works great for both. Would highly recommend.

I’m a huge fan of the Forest app. Extremely helpful in maintaining my focus and minimizing distractions when working. I highly recommend it!
I could write forever about how much I love Anki
It's basically flash cards, except you store everything you ever want to remember inside of it. Come to think of it...I might make a mini course about this...
Ooer, SRS sure feels like superpower sometimes. There's a new web based competitor now called Kitsun.

Focus app is responsible for making me productive. It's a perfect app that helps you to fight distraction and allows you to concentrate on your work. I use it on both, Android and Apple and it work awesome.
I love Omnifocus. It allows you to add tasks spontaneously and tie them to certain projects with due dates. There is a great training video here https://www.omnigroup.com/omnifocus/ios/
I love https://landen.co/
Saves me so much time on mockups and landing pages for A/B testing
I read about an app called INK (https://inkforall.com/) yesterday on another thread on IH. I tried it and I’m really impressed. It’s a tool for writing blog articles that also helps you with SEO. Great spell-checker as well. It is so nicely designed, I just want to start typing! It has a focus mode, which helps you concentrate on your writing. Highly recommend.
Google Keep is underrated
Notion

An unpopular answer but Google Calendar seems to work the best, tried multiple productivity and task management apps but they just add another layer to the mix. So yeah, have found Google Cal to be the best to keep myself organised :)
I am super into Sunsama, it has helped my productivity 10x as many of my day to day tasks fall outside of a specific JIRA/trello board
I've been using Alfred for increasing productivity and it works great.
I'm sure there are even more things that you can do with it and you can check some of the ways that popular IH's use it in this twitter thread: https://twitter.com/wesbos/status/1197545022121500675?lang=en
I'm using heyfocus.com on macOS. You can block websites and applications for the focus time you adjust!
https://www.simpletasking.com (my product), works great especially if you work in multiple projects. Thread, Board (like Trello), Chat (like Slack). Conference (like Zoom).
I have been using Evernote since a long time. I just like their minimal interface and it helps to get organized. Simple and not overwhelming.
With the new update, It's become better.
Ditto, Phrase Express
Notion.
Not super original but Notion: it just works so well and lets you use a single tool instead of having a fragmented app workflow. If you want to Notion + automation boost, definitely check out Coda.
By far.. Good old Trello. Those boards are life savers for tracking the work I do for clients + for myself
I like https://tryshift.com :)
http://www.resultivity.com/ helps me to stay on top my time. Very nice layer of gamification is added to help you to work task by task.
Check it out, it's free. :-)
I'm using a mindfulness bell menubar app. I'm not sure about productive but the pause every 15 min help me not losing myself too much.
Clipy is a clipboard extension for macOS. It gives me the last 30 items i have added to the clipboard, plus i can save pre-made messages. It saves me a few minutes every day which builds up over time.
A pomodoro timer I created.

I just use todoist now to quickly save my "ideas" whenever I get one. I have a list of about 20-30 cool business ideas saved there atm 😂
