I'm curious to know what people have learned this week that they think others already know/do. This can be related to anything (marketing, business, coding, etc.)
This question is interesting to me because I shared something I'd known for a bit that ended up causing a 'huh, that's useful' moment. But it only happened by accident, because I'd assumed it was know by both parties when it wasn't.
I sometimes wonder how much neat or useful information is lost because it doesn't meet the threshold we each maintain for information worth sharing. But I would be willing to bet that these little tid-bits of information will be useful to someone in the IndieHackers community!
Some of the useful things I learned (and shared) this week:
iex shell and execute $ i some_variable_name to inspect the variable and get useful information about it
I recently made a post asking for pricing tips, thinking that $5 would be too much for my product. People quickly made it clear that on the contrary, it was too cheap and should be closer to $10 or $15. It was pretty interesting learning how people tend to undervalue their own products/services, and that what they say about taking your initial thoughts and doubling it is a valid strategy for coming up with the final price!
That’s an excellent point. I actually remember seeing your post and learning the same thing. Do you think that’s affected how you view your product?
At the very least, it's given me more confidence in its value and that it's actually solving a need for some.

These are all so useful! Thanks for sharing, I'd never seen any of these.
