Hey!
Hello hackers

Iam Zakaria the founder of criov agency https://criov.com/

I'd love to hear from indie hackers

I'm pinning this post to micro saas to make it easier to find and hopefully inspire more people to start their own products too .

What are you building?
Why are you building it?
How's it going?

I am building getimg.ai - a set of SaaS tools that help people create art and generate images with AI (Stable Diffusion). I am most proud of the AI Editor, a Figma-style tool that allows modifying existing images and expanding them beyond original borders with text prompts.

    1. 3

Pretty cool stuff you got there. Really impressed with the results.

    2. 2

loving the lamas on the home page :)

      1. 1

Wait till you find other cute animals hidden in the website ;)

    3. 2

That's a cool tool, are you using api of DALL-E from openai?

      1. 1

No, I am hosting and maintaining my own Stable Diffusion backend.

        1. 1

If you don't mind me asking, what stack are you using?

          1. 1

            python for the ML,
node.js, MySQL, and Redis on a backend
            Next.js for the frontend

            1. 1

where are you hosting all these and also, would it possible to give some numbers on cost?

              1. 1

Google Cloud, Lambda Labs and some GPU marketplaces like vast.ai runpod.io

            2. 1

              Nicely done @jkbl !
Are you creating your own ML model or is there any library that you use?

              1. 1

was going to ask the same, are you training your own model?

  2. 8

Hello, I'm working on https://upollo.ai . We are helping subscription businesses earn more by detecting repeated signups and account sharing.

We are seeing some companies increase their ARR by +5%! Reach out if you want to see how we can help you :)

  3. 6

Today I made a Parity Price calculator: https://www.pricery.io/international-pricing-calculator

It lets you find the best price to sell your SaaS/digital product in each country of the world!

  4. 5

I am working on Testkit - a testing platform without code,
and on Twidd - A chrome extension for enhanced Twitter DMs with templates :)

    1. 1

I like the idea of Twidd if I want to learn how to build my own extension, Do you have specific suggestions?

      1. 1

The developer docs for chrome extensions are really well, I would start with that: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/mv3/getstarted/
Other than that, YouTube has great resources as well :)

  5. 5

I'm building https://supertweak.dev, a visual devtools chrome extension for Tailwind CSS.

Tailwind is awesome, but making changes usually involves a lot of back and forth between browser and editor to get it right. Supertweak makes it much more easier and fun by letting the user try out the changes directly in the browser.

Made my first sale. So, hopeful.

    Working on https://unwrapped.design

Free and premium resources for Web Developers and Digital Designers

    1. 2

Fantastic. I have been looking for days for the backgrounds that are on your site to be able to integrate them to my website and I had not found anything. Thank you! It's a good website by the way.

      1. 1

You welcome, hope you like them !

    2. 2

Hey, the Website design looks amazing. What is the stack?

      1. 1

        Thanks for that!

Astro.build, Alpine.js and Tailwind no big deal 🙂

        1. 1

Cool, Even in beta Astro is quite impressive so far. I really looking forward as the team tries to bridge DX with their own Astro Compiler.

          1. 1

I am finding it super easy to use. I can o ly write basic for now, and Astro was super easy to learn.

You might like It.very straight forward.

  7. 3

    Hello,

My friend and I created a platform where we simplified the process of customer feedback by collecting it in one place.

Feel free to integrate (paste a single line of code) into your website and try to gather feedbacks in that way.

    fdbck.io

  8. 3

Focusing on growing my newsletter called: Frontend Snacks:
    https://www.frontendsnacks.dev/

I've created this to help developers grow and get FREE weekly snacks: A code snippet to teach complex topics visually, the Latest front-end gossip/news and A food/snack for thought.

    1. 1

      Wow Great,
I think You can add a gallery of snippets around 10-15 snippets. So, the visitor will get engaged. They will know you better and You will have more lists.

      1. 1

Thanks for the feedback and yeah I have been focusing on creating it! Thanks for the suggestion, loved it!

  9. 3

Hi! I'm working on StandupWizard, a Slack app that helps keep your team accountable and running effectively by automatically collecting status updates.

I created it originally to fill a void I felt existed in current standup apps / bots in the Slack ecosystem and luckily other companies must have felt the same since MRR is steadily climbing month over month!

  10. 3

I am woking on AI2sql. It's a tool that can help you generate sql query
without knowing what it is or how to write it. I'm getting close to $400 MRR.

    1. 1

I saw a similar tool earlier, something like text2sql. It's a cool concept. Are you using openai for the ML model?

      1. 2

I am building text2sql.ai :D Both of us use GPT-3, and there is an official GPT-3 example showing how to do this, so not a big idea. Mustafa went further with actual Db connections as I see, and e.g. AskEdith even executes Db queries, which can be a game-changer integration. I am now targeting learners, so I won't implement these.

        1. 1

Hey @GarryMe I noticed your sql query generator is free to use, are you paying from your pocket for GPT-3 credits to use the ML model? Just want to learn how everyone's managing GPT-3 credits from making freemium SaaS products.

          1. 1

Hey! OpanAI codex is free until it is in beta state, so hurry up, you have nothing to lose! 😀

        2. 1

I see, I was already wondering what differences do ai2sql and text2sql have. I'm looking into GPT-3 potential use cases, there's a ton we can do with this ML model.

    2. 1

who is your target customer and what kind of use case do you think they will use it for?

      1. 1

With AI2sql, engineers and non-engineers can easily write efficient, error-free SQL queries without knowing SQL.

  11. 2

    Hello, Alexander here. Building Minteum.net
A platform for listing upcoming and live NFT projects.

I have used Low code tools to build it so it has taken me just days to build what I have so far. Next will be the login system and a blog.

If you give me your feedback I would be very grateful. 🙂

  12. 2

At the moment I'm growing my freelance business and trying to scale it to an agency level.

I work on a 3d-editor based on excel sheets. https://sheetbuild.com

Because of the excel-logic it makes it possible to create 3d configurators without coding

  25. 2

I'm currently taking a break from any serious side-projects with a a lot of potential to monetize.

Instead I'm building a super simple webapp for the RC community (that is the competitive radio-controlled car racing community) to easily see which parts are shared between different models of cars (typically a manufacturer releases an updated model every 1-2 years, with some new parts and the rest same as the previous model - and it is always a hassle to know which spare parts to keep and which you can sell off with the old model).

A first version is available at https://rcparts.app 🏎️💨

    1. 1

This is such a niche app, I love the idea! I just compared a a DR10 with a CR12, man that's a long list of parts! The "part discontinued" is very useful. Did you enter all this data manually? If so, that must've been a lot of research + work.

      1. 1

For this manufacturer I got hold of an Excel sheet intended for resellers, so it was fairly simple. I'm working on adding a few other manufacturers and unfortunately have to resort to PDF-parsing or web-scraping.

        1. 1

I see, good luck on your product journey!

  26. 2

Well, just working on Advanced NoCode Builder for Google Sheets and Supabase

I have worked earlier on a similar product and made this one more powerful.

So far so good. Started with a few paying customers and improving further.

Hey everyone! I'm building Launch Base, a new platform to foster startup communities and democratize access for first-time founders. We want to reduce friction for founders as much as possible, right from the first time they conceive of the idea, to hiring their first employee, getting funding, and reaching their first 1000 users.

Currently, founders face an array of issues that they must solve in order to get their business launched. However, more than half of ideas never see the light of day. I want to help reduce the possible sources of friction by building a platform that is centered around the founders. We provide access to a large community of early adopters and fellow builders that provide feedback even before you need to build a prototype. In the next phases of your journey, you would have access to talent that you can hire - based on salary, equity, or otherwise - to help you build your business. Along the way, you can share your progress with your loyal fanbase and selectively test features with these insiders. Additionally, we would provide access to an array of discounts, offers, and promotions to valuable tools and services that could help get your product of the ground.

I am currently a solo developer and plan to work with a co-founder, most likely a technical one. Around 20% of the product has been developed, and I plan to launch in 2-3 months.

I am working on Breeze. This is a simple tool that allows you to directly manage your Social Media Calendar from Notion. The idea stemmed from the insight that content planning is done on Notion but another tool has to be used to publish/schedule it.

In the current version, we allow users to post their Tweets from Notion. I am working on extending the capability to LinkedIn as well.

    Hi there,

I have developed a chrome extension which is offered as a free product on chrome web store. Even though it is providing all features for free where alternatives try to sell, we are having really hard time to get it reaching more people. I would appreciate any feedback!

Hi! I feel like I'm in a bit of a minority here as I am working in the EdTech sector, on a new School Management Information System. It's called Spark MIS and I've only very recently started. https://spark-mis.co.uk

I conceived of the idea as I have been working in the education sector in the UK for some years now and have noticed a distinct lack of options for schools when it comes to MIS and other such administrative products. Not only this but many people who are in this field already seem to charge extortionate prices for their products! It's my hope that Spark MIS can disrupt the EdTech sector in this sense and bring about changes that are long overdue!

If anyone has any suggestions or criticisms of the landing page I'd love to hear them :)

    1. 2

Hi, It looks promising. Do you plan to add a few more features? Such as Exam Management, Session Management, Multiple School Branch Modules, Library Management, Fees Management, Assignments etc. If though, It'll help you with the competition.

      1. 1

Thanks for taking the time to have a look and respond! Yes, I have a huge list of things that will be implemented into Spark MIS - unfortunately it's a bit too big to fit on just the landing page. When I have created a full roadmap of features I'll publish it and link to it so that people can see the full scope of functionality that's intended :)

    "Yet another AI Image generator"

    Picturize.ai

No, for real I had this idea a month ago and while I started working on it, some big competitors went live. I just took it as a market confirmation and focused on myself.

I tried to differentiate my app by focusing more on fantasy-like outputs and "ethical AI use".

It seems to have worked as I have over 50 paying customers now: Lessons learned from
    making the first $ online

    I have created timegram.io.
It is a smart time tracking, project planning, & productivity insights solution for remote teams.

The primary motivation has been that existing time tracking tools are wayyy too invasive with their screenshots, webcam shots, keystroke monitoring and whatnot. We have created a product that does not of that sorts but still manages to provide pure insights of the team performance.

We just got done with the MVP and now moving towards our first soft launch to start getting some users. Let me know if anyone here is interested in checking it out and providing me feedback.

I’m developing Extensionfy, a no code browser extension builder.

I decided to build it because there currently is no way to build a medium to advanced browser extension with no code.

There are few options, but all of them are just embedding your pre-existing app (Bubble, Bildr etc) using iframes and they don’t offer access to the majority of the browser APIs. Another limitation of current options is that they are not flexible, you can’t for instance heavily manipulate webpages or inject custom UI

I am creating https://juniorlist.net a site inspired by remoteok, but that is in charge of listing junior programmers.

I am going to take care of sending the information of the juniors by email to different companies in order to be able to be contacted!

The site is still under construction.

I plan to add filters, a contact button in the same publication and be able to add your image to the profile!

any feedback you send me will be welcome :)

Hey! We're currently working on STASHALLY, a no-code interactive mobile microsite builder for people who want more than a link in bio, but less hassle than a full blown website.

Its currently in beta pending a large deployment, but you can check us out and play around with examples at https://www.stashally.com

One of the biggest challenge we have is fitting everything into a mobile editing UI that gives a great building experience on mobile devices. Tons of rules and best practices to follow while not compromising experience on the desktop version. We initially tried an app, but a lot of our beta users previously wanted us to work on a full browser based system instead.

Drop me a dm if anyone would like early access to play around :) Have a great weekend guys!

Hi Zakaria. Good idea! I'm currently working on Privacy-first Jobs, for people wanting to work at privacy-focused companies and organisations. Yes, yet another job board!

I just opened the waitlist ahead of launching, which I hope to do by the end of this month. It probably won't make much money but it's something I think should exist and aligns with my values. Plus I enjoy it!

Many on-going random projects that I just coded and hasn't done any push to public:

-Fermi - A financial modeling tool for IH and other startups: https://increnovation.azurewebsites.net/fermi/highlevel

-WaaYao - An Asian Meal Planning service: WaaYao.com

-No name- A multitenant file storage/api service

-Competitive Tech News Weekly - Weekly competitive tech news: I just started this past week. I used to run this back in my corporate job in competitive analysis/strategy department. I had 6000 subscribers within the company. It was very simple. I just thought maybe it's an opportunity to do this since I my diverse background.

Funny thing about this latest project. I got lazy and just want to piggyback on my other projects. But I didn't want to mess up the identity service (I use AADB2C). So I just went ahead and I guess accidentally built a passwordless authentication system (using email as otp and browser session storage).

    Too many things 😅

Recently came back around to my first project statustracker.app after a new connection became my co-founder.

I’m the process of pivoting MyCosplace.com to align more to what cosplayers actually want based on feedback I’ve collected.

Completely rebuilt and redesigned unityweather.com app for iOS a couple weeks ago. Still testing it out before launching the update. Then will start adding widgets. And need to do the rebuild for android.

And last night I started toying with a new AI project… will be talking more about that soon.

I'm working on churnfree.com, which is helping saas businesses to reduce their churn and grow their business.

It can save up to 46% on churned requests for your SaaS business.

I’m building the yet to be named personal etf micro saas. You build a stock portfolio, assign percentage of the total to each, and set up a buy schedule. Buying happens at specified frequency and dynamically determines how much of each stock in your etf to buy to maintain the correct balance. It may be a terrible idea to build an investment tool in the market today but hey, need to start somewhere :) The idea is similar to M1 finance but is more flexible and doesn’t charge a ton of money just to have access to a second trading window. I’m working on a landing page and will share if there is interest :) cheers!

I am working on elfehres.com, trying to build a native-arabic-based tech-driven startup-oriented community that targets high-school students and university students who can't learn in any other language but in Arabic.

There are multiple successful Facebook groups that share a lot about startups and tech,...etc. But none of it targets absolute beginners who can barely know how to reset their password.

Our mission is to build a community and knowledge base that takes into account the tech-illiteracy of the majority of the non-English speaking students in the Arab world. Our aim is to help them build tech knowledge in their native language, share this knowledge with other similar groups and use this knowledge to build their own business later on.

It sounds simple and basic, but it turns out that it is a very complex and time-consuming project.

If you have an experience in something similar to this, I would love to take your advice.

text2sql.ai - generate SQL queries with AI!

It is based on GPT-3 without any backend.

    1. 1

Such a great tool! It's perfect for learning sql. I think you also need to target universities that teach computer science as a degree, I'm definitely sharing this with my fellow class mates. By the way, can it translate the other way around, from sql to text? Would be a cool feature.

One suggestion, start collecting emails (maybe add a email collection box) early, even for users trying to try this for free, you don't want to lose any visitors. With their emails, you can convert them into paying customers later. Email lists are a great asset!

A feature-packed alternative to the large social media giants.

To provide necessary competition in this space, with an actual full-fledge service that doesn't feel like it was created in a month.

Growth has been steady and our community has provided us some laughs. 😆

Another social media? Love the UI though. How's this different than other platforms?

      1. 1

Our core focus is on providing a product/service our users are willing to pay for down the line, by providing enticing features, upgradeable accounts., and offering a multitude of services (subscriptions, digital event ticketing, gifting content, etc). The end goal is to provide a great platform where we don't have to sell user info.

  106. 1

I'm retiring my old code base and starting from scratch to build a time attendance and scheduling tool for businesses. Currently implementing all the features for time attendance and looking to get that out to my current users by this month. My project is called RotaCubed.

    1. 1

Is it integrated with any accounting softwares?

      1. 2

not directly integrated, but when you generate your payroll report, it has the pay codes which come from the payroll software - this makes it easy to import your CSV file into any relevant software.

I'll be looking to add Xero Payroll and Sage Payroll integrations soon though
