If you are writing content about sinks - don't hire "freelance writer" - hire a plumber, he will have a LOT better knowledge and content to provide. Then have an editor to "fix" the writing style and you are ahead of 90% of your competition.

Lesson 👉 either write about something you are actually knowledgeable about or hire an expert in that particular area. The internet is already crowded with mediocre advice.

      How do you find one?

That's a kind of million-dollar question. It really depends on what kind of expertise you are looking for. Too many variables to narrow down to one answer.

    Good tip!

Mine is: before you write a blog post, type the topic into Google and see who's ranking in the top 10. Ask yourself: Can you write a better post than these? Then ask yourself: What will it take to write a better post?

Google's job is to answer questions, the better you can answer a question than the other guy/gal the better you will rank.

Agreed! Here’s where a word counter like https://wordcounter.net/ comes in handy to count how many words the top articles have - the goal is to out-write theirs!

If you have your own blog site, check regularly for dead links and 404s. Search engines penalize if you have a lot of dead links.
I'm no expert, but it also helps if you have a sitemap.xml available for your site.

👉 Use your keyword in H1, H2 or H3 tags
👉 Optimize the image alt tags
👉 Use External Links (Link out to 5-7 authority sites in your article)
👉 Use Internal Links (Link to 2-4 other pages on your site)
