Yeah I have a lot of tips for landing pages that I will distill into tweets. Just need to spend a day putting them together.

Steve Schoger grew his tweet following by focusing on great tips. Will try to do the same.

A few off the top of my head:

• For PR and links: Produce original research and present it on your site/blog. Make it a resource for bloggers and journalists. Make sure they know about it, then, when they're writing a story about that subject and need relevant data, they can cite your resource. (Simple, right? haha 😅) For example, StatCounter shares global public browser stats from their own data: https://gs.statcounter.com
• So, related to the previous point, if a company has interesting data, it might be worth anonymizing and aggregating it and make it publicly available. It's highly useful both to write about it yourself, and also have others draw their own conclusions from your public data resource. Once it's well known, it can be the gift that keeps on giving.
• For PR and links: I've heard some good things about HARO over the years, but would love to see some actual data on its usefulness, and maybe best practices.
• Have useful free tools on your site. Relevant tools, that is. For example, Pingdom has a free website speed test, Neil Patel has Ubersuggest, etc. It can drive a huge amount of traffic, goodwill and name recognition, not to mention links. Another gift that keeps on giving. :)
