Sharing a free PR database of 4k+ journalists (and how not to do it)

Hey, people! Stephan from WeLoveNoCode, the largest no-code talent marketplace, is here. We help startups and SMEs build MVPs, validate hypotheses and create digital products faster and less costly without coding. Recently we've raised $3m.

Firstly, apologies for the successful fail. In my previous post, I've offered community members to leave their emails in the comments to send out our database of 38k investors with their emails, LinkedIn profiles, etc. I didn't expect 100+ people will want to get the database and realized I couldn't send out 100+ emails manually. So I processed all the emails through our CRM to make things quick (some people started to remind me that they are still waiting for the file I've promised). Some users then received our marketing emails which they didn't opt in for. Sorry for that. Lesson learned; everything is fixed.

Now let's move to the PR database I want to share with you today.
During our 0 -> $4m ARR growth, we've collected a spreadsheet with 4,500+ journalists with their names, profiles, emails, media names, etc. You’ll find everything you need to announce any update about your business or company. Raised a round? Launched a new product? Something cool happened? Looking for journalists to announce it? Take the list and pitch them to publish your content or updates.

To get the database, just leave your email in the comments and I'll send it to you in 1-3 days (without any future marketing emails).

If you want to get the databases without waiting for my email with the file, you may go to the leadgen page at our website and fill in the simple form to get the file (it takes 30 seconds). You can also check the sample spreadsheet on the page. But note, that you'll receive marketing emails afterward, which you can unsubscribe from if you find them not attractive, of course.

Cheers!

I hope you all enjoy having your email address scraped 😅 I'd recommend people just use Stephan's form on his site and unsubscribe afterwards if you don't want the marketing stuff.

That's what I've recommended in the last paragraph!

I know, it was a good suggestion 🙂 Some of our fellow indiehackers may not know what happens to email address on this site that's all!

Hey, you teased at "How not to do it " in the headline, but didn´t follow up on this? So "How to not do it"?

It's in the second paragraph. Last week I've shared a similar stuff with investors contacts and the post gone viral, 100+ people shared emails to get the database. However, I failed to process all the emails manually to send them separate emails, and decided to use our internal emailing platform. In the end, due to my mistake people started to get marketing emails which they didn't subscribe to. This is how not to do it here :-D
