Just admit, it's a talent to constantly bring up brilliant ideas, and most of us don't come across that ideas for most of our time.
ππ So you don't have to wait for the inspiration come before starting. ππ
π― Here's a "idiot" method that's applicable for building a web tool easily: take use of the asymmetric information.
In short, there are plenty open-source data api in the internet, but not everyone knows how to find them and use them.
What you can do is to:
1οΈβ£ choose a niche market
2οΈβ£ find open-source applicable integrations
3οΈβ£ reorganize, desensitize and visualize the data you get
4οΈβ£ publish those data on a website or an application (make it easy for look up)
5οΈβ£ start earning
That's it -- Make money with tiny workloads and asymmetric information! Need not cost, neither groundbreaking ideas.
My case:
Everyone who's engaged in eCommerce knows definitely how important it is to find the correct products to sell. It's the very essential step.
So I and my team made out tools that help sellers find profitable products, of course, based on our self-developed model. We charge for this service and it indeed makes money.
I hope my experience can be any of help to you.
If you are itch for a try, action is always better than hesitation! πΊπΊπΊ

I am not sharing my websites mentioned above here, but I can share you the API of our database (yes we made it a new web tool)
The API tool is named EcomScrapy ( https://ecomscrapy.com/ ), with it you can access over 250 million Amazon, AliExpress, Shopify, Etsy product data.
Exactly, you got the point
This is really cool. It is kind of like taking the idea of an SEO optimization tool, but applying it to e-commerce and products. Is there a generic name for this pattern? Market intelligence?
"choose a niche market" I think this is the hardest part β
