Hello! I haven’t been on in a while so here is an update. I want to get in the habit of posting every week…hopefully something about the process can be useful to someone. And at the very least, I will be (very publicly) accountable for the results I get (see stats section below).
Recap of last week: Got a lot done! I revamped my blog (probably should’ve focused more on writing articles and not on looks but I’m very happy with it so oh well), completed my email welcome sequence, and officially launched my online library page. The content is based mostly on branding, but also on productivity, goal setting, etc.
The free downloads are only accessible to my subscribers, but, to celebrate the “launch” I wanna give everyone on here special access 🥳 Link here: https://dnca.ca/free-resources/
The password (updated monthly) is: thriving. Download and share as much as you please!
I’ve also just about finished developing my first online challenge, called the Grow with Confidence Challenge. Essentially, it’s a free 5 day email course designed to help entrepreneurs uncover their brand purpose and find clarity in their business. Here is the (very ugly but informative) landing page for it if anyone wants to look (https://dnca.ca/grow-with-confidence/).
The challenge will launch on Monday, May 19th, but will be evergreen. It consists of 5 emails containing a lesson and worksheet (and maybe eventually a video), with the entire workbook being available in the online library. Once it launches, I plan on having all of the participants join a Facebook group, where I’ll be doing weekly live sessions. This whole thing is meant to be a way to a) grow my subscriber list b) operate as a funnel piece to a high ticket online course.
The Stats
Email subscribers: 27
Instagram followers: 431
Twitter followers: 90
Facebook likes: 15
So what am I doing to support my growth…
I will utilize my mailing list and social media to promote both my freebie library & GwC Challenge.
I am starting to learn how to use Facebook ads, which I will use to promote the GwC Challenge. I’ll start by targeting my competitors and see what results I get before I go down the rabbit hole of targeting my own audience (which barely exists).
I’m being more active on social media — something that’s always been tough for me. I’m great at absorbing content, not so great at creating it consistently. This is especially true for Twitter and Linkedin. I’ve made a plan to start batching content, so that’ll likely help.
I’ve increased my blogging goal from one post a month to one post a week. This is pretty insane for someone who could barely put out one a month but I think the increase will light a fire under my butt & get me moving.
I will send out at least one weekly newsletter to my list, which I have been sorely neglecting. Another thing I am going to batch.
Lastly, I am offering free branding packages to entrepreneurs in my niche in order to expand my portfolio in that area. I’ve been working in branding and graphic design for years, but always in a corporate/tech setting, whereas now I am targeting wellness-based business owners. This will be done in exchange for testimonials.
And there you have it. Any suggestions & feedback are, of course, welcome. Thanks for reading!
