Sharing my startup/Launching in public/ looking for feedback: ME-Board, one stop shop for Mechanical Engineers

ME-Board is Building the one stop shop for Mechanical Engineers to find high quality jobs at climate companies. We were inspired to take on this project when we repeatedly heard complaints from engineers on the job hunt about how draining it was for them to find relevant jobs. At the same time, we kept hearing from climate founder friends about how much money and time they were spending to find the right candidate with experience building physical tech. Also, I had personally gone through this experience multiple times and understand the pain of searching for jobs as a ME. We don't have as many job search resources/opportunities as software engineers, interviews aren't as standardized, and jobs are everywhere. That’s when we knew something was missing and ME-Board was born.

We are differentiating by getting Mechanical Engineers to vet the companies and jobs first to make sure it is a place we like to work at. Then we network into the companies to ask unique questions that are otherwise non-obvious to find online. Then we also let candidates find jobs all in one place. All of this is to help reduce the 6 months that both candidates and companies spend on recruiting/hiring.

As of today, we have discovered 50+ diverse hardware companies from the YCombinator and My Climate Journey community (I attached some stat about them in picture), but we know there are still hundreds of great companies out there that are hiring for hardware talent. Every week, we will work toward finding more great companies and building the community of engineers working in climate.
