Sharing product earnings - Yes or No?
Hey!
How do you feel about sharing your product earnings publicly? Do you do it or do you consider doing it?
I was thinking for a while, and maybe I'll record a video about my first product. I plan to share my earnings there.
I'm still a bit undecided, and I want to see what you think.
The idea of being open and real with everything about indie hacking is the core reason this community exists.
The IH interviews all require disclosure of revenue.
Milestones encourage more casual and blog like updates to help people document their process.
Then more recently with groups you can join and post to the Building in Public group.

I am a proponent of it. I believe it shows the potential for content creators to earn a living doing this. I wouldn't know it was possible to make a career out of this if it weren't for others sharing their earnings openly. Plus I'm in support of the Open Startup movement. I believe the transparency builds trust between companies and the community.
