Sharing progress on podcast/newsletter discovery tool

Hey guys! I wanted to take the advice of many indie hackers and share my progress as I work. I've been working on a thing called FeedSeek, which is a discovery tool for newsletters, podcasts, and blogs.

Up to this point, I've been focusing on the card layout for the home page, which can be found at https://beta.feed-seek.com

I'm not necessarily looking for anything in particular, just wanted to overcome my fear of sharing what I'm working on, though any feedback on this (not fully functional) app would be appreciated!

I like the name + domain! Also agree with most of what @wordcloudsarecool mentioned. The hero animation didn't feel jerky to me (OS X Chrome) but it does feel kind of unnecessary.

I can definitely see myself visiting this site every now and again once there is more content. As someone who is more of a lurker than contributor, I personally care less about creating an account and submitting my own content and more about being able to easily browse an exhaustive list.

Thanks for taking a look! The point about accounts is very helpful. I feel the same way, and think the site should be mostly fully functional without signing in.

The idea I'd like to implement is to come up with "Recommendations" based on newsletter/podcast/blog entries that a user has "liked" (determined using other similar user's likes), this would require them to sign in. However... I'd rather not lean too heavily into the "PLEASE SIGN IN" push that some sites implement. Thanks again!

Looks pretty decent overall, just some things of note:
The hero image animation is very jerky. Not sure what is causing it, perhaps you are trying to execute JavaScript each frame?
The diagonal cut-off on the images of each item look nice.
This is extremely minor, but I personally dislike the double border around the author of a post. Consider making this area full-width. Perhaps you might also want a bit darker background color for the images at the top of every post.
The last button is exactly aligned to the bottom of the page. Consider adding some padding, or a footer.
The font of "Added Just Now" does not match the other headings. Also, the style of the posts in that column is inconstant. I understand you want to differentiate it from the "normal" posts, but there are better ways to do this to preserve your style.
Your theme color seems to be a nice shade of teal, but it never comes back after the heading. The site will look more consistent if you make highlights the same color.
Overall the layout is nice, and if you fix some of these small things this could look like a top-tier website.

Thanks a ton for the feedback! Yes, the "surrounding" elements of the site need lots of work, the header has been pretty much completely ignored and is next on the docket. I've mostly been working on the cards themselves so far.

The feedback on the card "author" section, and the sidebar cards, is especially helpful, exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for taking the time!
