Great job, Nathan! I remember you mentioning you had no audience 7 days ago. Well, now you do :)

@psto! thanks for following my progress! I'm trying channels and communities to see what works... one day I hope to be able to report back some findings so we can all benefit.

    Congrats🔥

    Keep the momentum going on!

Did you upgrade to the paid versions of ship? was it worth it?

    1. 1

Yes I am on the 'Pro' but not 'Super Pro'. On a previous upcoming product I was on the free Ship plan and really go no subscribers except ones I had sent the link to. I can safely say the promotional aspect of the Pro versions is doing its' part Yang.

Do you think having an explainer video would help convert better? I'm thinking of making one for https://www.producthunt.com/upcoming/playgroup

Maybe @yaroslawbagriy another idea is just to create a 'video' using an animated GIF that show inside the product. That way it would 'play' immediately I imagine?
Experiment to see if it presents how you'd like first. Keynote can save as GIF so you just need to put each image in a slide and export.

That's also a solid idea! The problem is we're still developing the product and we only have Figma files. I was thinking of going through the big parts of the Figma design and explaining the app.

Sure! GIF stills of frames in the Figma of the product could still work. Yet as you say a walk through explainer maybe better it just depends what your market wants/needs. I personally don't watch videos. I like to get impression right away subscribe or move on.

Love this idea of using GIFs rather than full on explainer videos to explain the product (I hate hearing myself recorded) So may implement that myself at launch.
