Shipped 3 new features on IndieDeck last weekend based entirely on community feedback. Here's what I built and why.
UPDATE:
A few weeks ago I launched IndieDeck here with zero expectations. Hit #1 on the Build Board, then #1 on other two platforms (Launch cab and Just hunt). All organic.
Last week of feedbacks was brutal and valuable in equal measure. Builders told me exactly what was missing and they wanted. So I went heads down and built it.
Here's what just shipped:
Build Log: a public timeline of your builder journey. Launches, milestones, updates, archived projects. Visitors can upvote and comment directly on each entry. The goal was to turn a static page into a living story. It's live and working.
GitHub Stars: paste your repo URL and your star count auto syncs and shows on your project card with a verified badge. One API call, zero manual work.
Verified MRR: connect Stripe and your real MRR shows on your page. No fake numbers. Cryptographically verified.
A three things I learned building this in public:

listening beats building in isolation every time.
Distribution > Validation
Every single feature above came directly from a comment on my last post here.
Build log and Verified MRR is something no other link-in-bio tool has. That one feature changes the positioning completely, this isn't a portfolio page anymore, it's proof of everything you've built and earned.

I’ve been following you since your very first IndieDeck post, and ngl watching someone from day 1 actually start gaining traction like this hits different… lowkey feels proud fr 😭
What I like here is this isn’t just feature shipping, you’ve clearly shifted the positioning. Build log + verified MRR turns it from a simple link-in-bio into something closer to proof-of-work and credibility. Definitely using IndieDeck already, Pro plan looks tempting too.

I agree with the first comment- it does hit different but at the same time is exactly how i started my build- knowing i would be doing it in public- and that worried me at first but i wanted true engagement - good or bad- to prove my honesty and why it's important to me to change how people make money. I grew up in a family where if you couldn't handle criticism your butt was cooked! Nothing wrong with thick skin especially online. And i love the building and rebuilding part, but what i'm weak at is the social media aspect of it all so i come on indie hacker and read and read and read some more. I'll get it but again whats truly important is authentic engagement- I want to give more value then i ask for every day of the week! The moment you connect Stripe and show real numbers with a verified badge, the whole product stops being "another link-in-bio" and becomes something founders actually trust. That reframe is worth more than the three features combined.
The build log idea resonates too. I'm on day 0 of building something myself right now — posted about silent churn on r/SaaS today and the response confirmed the problem is real. Starting to document the journey publicly this week.

really appreciate that, that positioning shift is exactly what I was aiming for.
stripe MRR wasn’t too crazy on the implementation side. the main work was handling webhooks properly and making sure the numbers stay accurate with things like cancellations, upgrades and failed payments.
once the webhook flow was stable, the rest was mostly about how to present it clearly and make the “verified” part feel trustworthy, not just a badge.
Overall, started on saturday morning and shipped all three features on Sunday evening.
Verified MRR is a great differentiator — it immediately separates real traction from "we're growing " posts. The build log as a living story is smart too, turns a static portfolio into something people actually want to follow. One thing worth watching: once you have Stripe verification, founders will start treating their IndieDeck page as social proof for outreach. That's a use case worth leaning into.

Honestly both run in parallel but distribution comes first.
A feature nobody sees doesn't exist. The best product in the world with zero distribution is just a private project. So every time something ships the first question is always "how do I get this in front of the right people" not "what do I build next."
The rhythm that's been working is: ship something small, write honestly about it in the communities where the audience lives, listen to what comes back, repeat. The distribution and the product roadmap feed each other naturally when you do it that way.
Features matter but they matter a lot more when people are actually seeing them.

The biggest thing for me is the shift from ‘show what you built’ → ‘prove what you built actually works’. That’s a completely different game.
Build log is also lowkey powerful. If people actually use it consistently, it becomes like a live resume.

"Show what you built" to "prove what you built actually works" is the most precise way anyone has described that shift. That is exactly what happened and exactly why these three features matter together not separately.
On Build Log being a live resume, yes. That is the long term vision. A page that updates over time tells a fundamentally different story than a static snapshot. Investors and collaborators don't just want to see what you shipped. They want to see how you think, how you respond to setbacks, how consistently you show up. A live timeline does that automatically just by existing.
