Shipped three digital tools for solo freelancers this week on Gumroad, plus a rental deal calculator.
Problem I kept seeing: people can deliver the work, but pricing is vibes and client ops live in DMs.
What I shipped:
• Offer & Pricing Kit — $19 — https://scottrjones.gumroad.com/l/offer-pricing-kit
• Freelancer Client OS — $39 — https://scottrjones.gumroad.com/l/freelancer-client-os
• Solo Operator Playbook — $79 — https://scottrjones.gumroad.com/l/solo-operator-playbook
• Deal or Pass (rental) — $29 — https://scottrjones.gumroad.com/l/deal-or-pass
Plain Markdown/CSV/HTML so it works offline. Each kit has a START-HERE walkthrough.
Looking for feedback from anyone who's sold digital downloads — especially on positioning the middle SKU (Client OS) vs the Playbook.
Happy to answer build/distribution questions.
Quick update: Offer & Pricing Kit is temporarily pay-what-you-want (suggested $19, $0 is fine) while I collect honest feedback/reviews. It focuses on pricing and packaging one offer—not a CRM or 30-day business plan: https://scottrjones.gumroad.com/l/offer-pricing-kit
The middle-vs-top SKU question seems like the real test. Have buyers actually gravitated toward one based on a different job they need done, or does the overlap make the $39 vs $79 distinction hard to understand?
Thanks — happy to connect. Best email is scottrjones0812@gmail.com. Still validating whether the $79 Playbook owns a distinct outcome beyond the $39 Client OS (pipeline/ops vs full 30-day launch system).
Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
That's exactly the distinction I'm trying to validate. I don't have enough buyer data yet to say people are clearly gravitating to one—the products are newly shipped, so I don't want to invent a pattern. My intended split is: Client OS ($39) is the hands-on system for managing active client work (intake, scope, delivery, and follow-ups); the Solo Operator Playbook ($79) is the broader set of decisions and operating principles for designing the business around those systems. I agree the overlap could make $39 vs $79 feel arbitrary if the outcomes aren't explicit. I'll sharpen the copy around the job-to-be-done and make the Playbook's added depth and sequence unmistakable. If you were choosing today, what outcome would you expect the $79 version to own that the Client OS shouldn't?
That distinction between more impressions and qualified demand is useful. If you’re open to it, what’s the best email to reach you on?
