Shipping update: a Fortnite-specific fonts page

I’ve been building FontGenerator.design as a collection of small Unicode-based text tools.

This week I shipped a Fortnite-focused page:
https://fontgenerator.design/fortnite-fonts

While looking at usage patterns, I noticed something interesting:
most people aren’t looking for fancy fonts — they’re looking for usernames that aren’t already taken.

Fortnite supports many Unicode characters that look normal but are treated as different characters internally. So instead of adding more decorative styles, this page focuses on:

  • readable Unicode substitutions

  • subtle single-letter swaps

  • variations that still look clean on PC and console

No availability checking, no accounts — just quick iteration on name ideas.

This is a smaller, more constrained experiment compared to other generators on the site, but it feels closer to how people actually use these tools.

Curious if others building utility products have run into similar trade-offs between flexibility and constraints.

Quick note: this isn’t font switching — it’s all Unicode characters that Fortnite already supports. Early experiment, mostly exploring readability vs availability.
