Shopify app for reselling digital products. Feedback?
Many dropshipping merchants experience problems with long shipping times and low quality products. Digital products, instead, are shipped instantly and don't ever run out. But what about the hassle of creating them?
My partners and I are planning a Shopify app that allows merchants to import digital products from a private catalogue and sell them on their store in exchange for 20-30% of the revenue on each product.
The catalogue of products will be in a specific niche at first.
Merchants will be able to a. grow their revenue with ready-made products that complement their physical offering, and/or start entirely new businesses reselling digital products.
So you'd simply:

- Install the app - free
- Import digital products on your store > files, images, product descriptions get imported automatically
- Sell (and keep 70-80% of revenue)
Any feedback on the idea / question to further explore it is more than welcome.
The #1 Issue which anyone with This Type of Site will be facing is getting Targeted Traffic to Sell these Digital Products
This would make sense for someone who already has some passive traffic in a specific niche which they want to monetize or for someone who knows how to drive Traffic or do content marketing etc.
Idea Make Sense but my above point is an important factor. If you really go ahead and Pursue this, make sure to add a training on how people setting up such sites can drive traffic & make money. That will make it killer.
