Hey π,
I have built a Chrome Extension which is releasing in a couple of days. It's basically a way to practice mindfulness without detaching from your work or leaving the browser.
I think it would be a nice idea to offer corporate packages for the Premium subscription. Is this a good idea? If yes, how do I start?
In case you were wondering, the landing page is https://www.usemist.com
Yes, there is definitely still value to cold emailing.
Agreed with @martyb that People Operations, Employee Experience type job titles are the target persona.
A good approach with cold emailing is to set up an initial e-mail sequence (2-3 e-mails), which you can schedule out automatically using tools like Yesware or something else that allows you to track Open Rate & Click Through Rate. You should expect a low response rate off just 2-3 emails but use the Open & Click data to identify engaged prospects (i.e. people that are opening most/all of the e-mails, clicking links) and then spend a bit more time researching those companies and specific prospects so you can send 1:1, personalized emails to them moving forward. This should increase your response rate quite a bit.
Also, using that data to optimize around subject line etc. should increase the engagement stats.
It's a channel that requires a bit of work but it's extremely low cost and scales well so it's good for B2B, especially in the early days!
Thanks for the info. I'm definitely going to try this strategy.
Submitted to the waitlist.
It is a good idea. And it is useful to send cold emails.
The key is that you identify the buyer, how to target them, and the messaging.
All HR departments (maybe start with ones calling themselves "people success") have goals and budgets that will benefit from anything they can point to increase productivity and staff retention. Find the right contact and you've given them an easy item to add to their list of initiatives.
Always cold email. Always. Unless you have the budget to splash endless cash on advertising and promotion cold emailing will be the best way to get direct feedback, ask target audience questions and learn really damn quick.
Consider, too, whether there's anyone already working with your target audience. For example, occupational health therapists and those who provide at-work massages. If you can incentivise them, they may be willing to promote your product in exchange for commission,. This saves you finding the leads in exchange for some product familiarisation and marketing.
