Should I build landing page using template or build one from scratch

I am almost done on my app and now I need a landing page from where users can download the app. Should I use a template for landing page or built one from scratch? Is it worth spending time building one from scratch?

Find a simple template, there are free ones around. Don't waste time building it yourself.

If you have more money than time use a page builder.

Hey @nstech! I don't know if it's too late, but I am selling super easy-to-use HTML themes on BuildFaster.io. I will start selling in a week. Let me know if you're interested 😄

I'd say start off with a template to experiment and test, then when you've nailed the content you can spend the time on your own.

I would avoid looking at templates until you've got your messaging and desired content flow down. Picking a template and then trying to cram your content into it is a backward work-flow. It's like deciding how many pages a book should be before you write it.

If after you have the copy and a rough structure wireframed (in the loosest sense) then you can see if there are some templates that fit your content. If you don't find any, it's very easy to make custom landing pages with things like clickfunnels or webflow.

Definitely use a template, there are a lot of free ones that look good. Not worth the investment to create a custom one at this point.

In this stage, you shouldn't waste your time or money. Just use something that already exist.
