Should I continue with my project about "pomodoros in multiplayer mode"?

Last year I built a site where the main pitch was "do pomodoros with your pals": www.pomopals.com
My wife and I have been using it since around December just for the timer (the "people" are fake, no backend for now)
This was a project created to play around with some tech but I'm thinking maybe there's a chance to make this into a product.
What do you think? How would you evaluate the viability of such a product?

Been seeing a lot of successful "group accountability" projects where you work together with a stranger. Maybe add some of those pomodoros a name i.e. a purpose, like: "Finish a 45-minute software feature with Lucas" (basically both of you working on a software feature for your own peoject). You could then maybe both showcase the output for accountability purposes.
These 2 components could expand the "surface of promotion" for your software product. In addiction of promoting a social pomodoro timer, you can also promote it as:
a) A social timer for common tasks for certain professions (like software engineers).
b) Taking the output and saying: Look what can be done with our social pomodoro in 45 mins.
Anyway, I think this is a viable idea that could work and best of luck with it :)

You make great points, group accountability is probably the right direction to try and reach people. Do you know any of these groups that you could recommend?
I'm not sure for the part of having specific tasks described. I like more the sort of ritual/communion sides of things. Like going to a coffee shop or people getting together to write. It's like accountability without specifying what you're doing.
My big problem with this is currently the app doesn't really work and I can't show that :)
I think I'll implement the backend to start using the tool for real and get a feel for it. That or probably I'm just avoiding reaching people :)
