Hey makers
last week I launched the MVP of my very first web app, A SAAS that lets you create collaborative projects online . ( you can watch the workflow video and the landing page through this link )
product hunt : https://www.producthunt.com/posts/projex
yesterday it reached 32 users ( including friends ) but none of them are active , they just make an account , create a test project and leave it. Initially I was very exited and worked really hard to improve the UI, build the backend etc, but that enthusiasm is now wearing off. I've developed websites before but I'm an absolute beginner in SAAS development and marketing, maybe that's why it failed. It wasn't even received well on product hunt :( .
I still don't understand what went wrong and I'm thinking of quitting the idea now. what do you think I should do ?
Stick to it for at least 6 months. That's it.

I watched the first portion of your video and to be honest it wasn't clear to me right away what it did. What kind of 'collaborative projects'? I saw that you mentioned something about Student and Teacher, so my next thoughts were, is this for school projects?
Not sure if this was what you're looking for but thought maybe any type of feedback could be helpful!
Good luck!
Yes , I got the same feedback from many other users , guess next time I'll make a short crisp and easy to understand add video to see the product demand , before starting out anything.
thanx for the response
I definitely wouldn't want to add feedback to whether you should "kill it" as that should be based on whether you enjoy the project or not. Also, never base success on PH only.
Anyway, never just kill anything, attempt to sell it first.
thank you Consultilily
I think I'll make this project open source, on my last post some people were interested in the idea , but I wasn't able to execute it well. I don't think the product is good enough to be sold , do you ?
