Should I raise my prices?

When I launched AppReviewBot some months ago I priced the subscription plans in such a way to see if I could actually get a paying customer. Fast forward to now and I have several committed customers but I keep hearing that by pricing too low you are actually doing yourself a disservice.

AppReviewBot

  • Current plan for 1 app: $2.99/month
  • Current plan for 2-4 apps: $4.99/month
  • Current plan for 5+ apps: $9.99/month

Competitor #1 - Appbot

  • Small plan for <= 5 apps: $49.00/month

Competitor #2 - ReviewBot

  • Pro plan: $12.00/month per app

Competitor #3 - AppFigures

  • Monitor plan for <= 5 apps: $19.99/month

Competitor #4 - AppFollow

  • Premium plan for 2 apps: $29.00/month

All of the competitors are certainly a lot more full-featured which could be a factor but I tend to think the simplicity is one of my selling points. Curious to hear if anyone has any thoughts on what I should do!

    pricing a saas: keep raising your prices until your growth stops then take them back down a notch.

      Seems so simple when you put it like that! Thanks for the insight.

        You can also add benefits to early subscribers such as sign up for a year and keep the existing prices or give them 6 months before raiding their prices.

          Those are good ideas! I wasn't sure if I should even raise prices for existing customers at all.
