Should I start a blogging business? advice needed
Hi,
I have been reading about starting up a blog, building an audience and then building an email list.
I do have money to spend on this, but I cannot write a blog myself to save my life. should I still hire content writers, and grow from there?
is it easier if you have more money to spend on landing pages, SEO, hirinng more authors etc..?
The blog I wanted to create is aimed towards freelancers, I would look at creating some tools, that would help freelancers, showcase their work, even do interviews with top rated upwork and pph, or guru toptal freelancers. So that they can offer advice.
My goal is to monitise this blog, and make a passive income of £2000 per month.
Is my goal just a dream? or with the money I have 30k , is this good enough to start the blog and grow it to a large enough audience to monitise?
I was going to start a business but it seems like starting a blogging business is much easier or at least a tried and tested method.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

You could consider buying an existing blog in your niche, hiring writers, and monetizing it. If you have the money, that might de-risk your venture and get you off to a head start.
That said, I'd never reccommend starting a blogging business to someone who didn't like to write.

I believe that is the least risky business modal with very low costs.
Blogs take years to build.
If you already have skills you can start making money instantly.
And as you scale you can hire a manager to handle the day to day and you can spend a few hours a week making sure it is going smoothly.
a blog doesn't take years to build. that's not true at all!
you can build one in a few minutes... but, building a following and a cadence takes time.
but, like most things, it's a commitment.
Can you show me a blog that is doing 2k in passive income in minutes?
i created a blog that generated > $3k per month after just 20-30 days. it was a stupid image blog.
i then created a second version and the same results. i did this for 3 years and it paid for many of my family's vacation.

ok I will have to read a bit more into it, I took a quick glance. Not sure the type of Productized service I would have to offer.
In regards to blogging it does take years to build, but can it not be done quicker because I have a mch larger audience.
Startups usually use bloggin typically 3-4 months before they launch to get an audience and work on them.
If you have an audience then sure.
Why don't you create products for them.
Video courses seem to be the go to as you can do them quickly and charge more than ebooks.
You can then use that money to slowly hire a team out.
I also think writing content yourself and marketing it will make sure you hire the right folks.
There are a lot of freelancers who produce 0 results and spotting them isn't so easy especially when it comes to blogging and SEO.
don't outsource. learn to write yourself. you'll be glad you did.
