Should I start a new project

Hey, I created a very simple application called TiCo 5 months ago since one of my friends was asking for it. Also I am doing iOS development for quite a while as a full time developer, but I didn't have any apps on the App Store.

For those who might be interested, TiCo is a simple app to count how many days have passed since you do something. Here is a link:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tico-count-up-days-remember/id1291763003?mt=8

With the app I have no revenue models or anything since this was only a hobby project. But I tried to get some users by keyword optimisation and there are only 150 daily active users currently.

I didn't put too much effort into building this. I tried to launch it as fast as I can because I have lots of unfinished projects. So this time, I tried to have an MVP and see where it goes.

In the upcoming days I am planning to spend some time on my own projects. So I can improve upon this one and add some features to make it a real solid application. Also I can try to monetise it.

But I also have another app idea which looks promising to me and excites me more.

So should I start the new app or do the current app right?

What about putting in 50% of your available time into the old app (marketing only) and try to reach 500 active users by the end of the next 3 months. Don't build anything for the old one as some users are already finding it useful! Try to reach them and ask why.

The other 50% can be dedicated to the new shiny thing ;-)

Its wasted potential not at least try to get your App one off the ground.

Thanks for the advice :) I will try to get some feedback and put some effort into marketing. I can develop the new one on the side.
