Intuit https://quickbooks.intuit.com/ is having a massive Independence day discount (I am not affiliated with Intuit. )
It got me thinking: holiday sales and discounts are ubiquitous so clearly they must be great for sales. If so, should a saas strive to use as many holidays (eg mothers/fathers' day , Ramadan, Veteran' day, Presidents day etc )as possible to get sales?
I read that discounts lead to 30% reduction in LTV. Will it necessarily be worse if a saas sold discounts on too many holidays?
Obviously, it depends on the specific saas in question but I am curious what they general consensus on discounts is in this community.
