We launched @Shoutout on four platforms so far - Twitter, Capiche, Clubhouse, and ProductHunt π
Here are some lessons, tips, and hacks from our experience which hopefully help your launch ππ½
Soft launch on Twitter:
Twitter is not just a social media platform. It is an amazing distribution system if you use it the right way π―
One of the most important things you need to do before launching on Twitter is to create a lot of hype around your product.
Here are some checklist things you can do. These come with examples(links attached) I have used for Shoutout:
Capiche/Clubhouse launch:
This is the first I tried to launch something on audio-first platforms. The experience is new and surreal. Some lessons I learned:
β
Invite your early adopters as guests
β
Use @LumaHQ to create an event that will send the cal invites to everyone
β
Prepare an agenda for your guests
β
Start the session by announcing precisely what the discussion topic is, the agenda, and the launch plug
β
Have a question for each guest and make it more conversational
β
Give some time for the audience to ask questions
PH launch:
I launched 7 projects on PH, but this is the first time I saw the community's power. As Greg Isenberg says and I want to highlight: Build a community first before building a product π―
I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who showed up and supported us π
Here are some tips that will prep your launch on PH: I gave away some PH tips here. And this guide is super helpful too!
That's it for now! I'll be back with more lessons, methods we are using at Shoutout. If you want me to talk about anything particularly, post it here ππΌ
Appreciate your time in reading π
