[Show/Ask IH] Working in a mentoring platform, your feedback would be great

Hi all, me and 2 friends are building a mentoring platform, where we want to connect people with experience in different fields with people who need advice. We are primarily focusing in latin america, given that we are from there and we would have used a similar platform if there was one when we were younger, but our idea is to be present globally. We have a landing page with a survey, and we are struggling to find the right people to answer the survey. Have you been in a situation where you struggle to reach your potential market in order to validate your idea? How have you solved it? I can only think of SEO or targeted ads; we could also send the survey to our friends, but friends usually won't give an honest reply.
