Show HN blocked my new account — what I’m doing instead for Forge Regex

I tried to launch Forge Regex on Hacker News and got blocked: new-account / influx limits, and “account isn’t able to submit this site.”

Product: https://regex.ststudio.top (plain English → regex).

What I took from it

It’s not a verdict on the product. HN protects itself from launch spam. Fighting it with alts would make things worse.

What I’m doing instead

1. Indie Hackers product page + build-in-public posts
2. Reddit: answer regex questions first, link only when useful
3. Short demo clips on X
4. Directory submissions later (SaaSHub / TAAFT / AlternativeTo)
5. SEO pattern pages (email / URL / phone) as the long game

If HN soft-blocked you early: which channel actually sent your first 10 users? I want signal, not a list of 50 directories.
