Built a simple tool that takes a text description of your character (e.g., "scarred half-orc barbarian with greataxe and tribal tattoos") and generates a ready-to-print 3D STL file using AI. Sign up gets 1 free credit for one full generation—then cheap one-time credit packs via PayPal to cover API costs.
I'm a 30-year software engineer who finally did a fun side project when my 16-year-old son got obsessed with roleplay gaming (blame Stranger Things). He and his friends were struggling to visualize/print characters, so I decided it would be fun to try "vibe coding" it.
Chose Tripo3D.ai's API (cheap & good quality), had Claude Code generate most of the Spring Boot backend + Angular frontend, and Amazon Q helped with AWS setup. It's MVP-stage but usable—no subscriptions, just pay-as-you-go to keep costs sane.

Suggestions for features/options
If anyone's printed one yet, share pics! Happy to dive into the "pain and suffering" of vibe-coding the whole thing if there's interest.
Thanks for any thoughts
