Show IH: A portfolio platform for designers

We've released a platform called Showject which is designed to help people make a portfolio without going to the hassle and time building a portfolio website. We are focussing more on designers but other project creators are welcome.

Congrats for launching the product but how would designers entrust you with their portfolio if your site's design is nondescript at best?
At the moment, it's in beta mode and it's free in this state. I personally asked them and a lot of them started to become a member.

Hi, sorry to hear that. I'm not sure why you are getting this issue. No one has reported this issue before (even tested myself several times). I've asked the web hosting provider to reset the DNS. I remember doing this one time and the issues removed. I can rest assure you, no personal information is taken automatically (nor during registration). Sensitive information is optional by the account holder.
OK, here are a few questions/observations (I can be totally wrong about all this, so choose to ignore if you like)
1/ How would those that hire view your portfolio on Showject rather than a personal site. Meaning, a personal site can help show you can not only do projects but you can arrange a site/create a site that is attractive and informative in the right way.
2/ There is a freedom to crafting a personal site over having a section of another person's creation where I park my projects.
3/ Once you are out of beta, how much will this cost vs the cost of my own site which maybe costs me $17 a month on something like Wix or GoDaddy.
I do think a project like this is interesting and needed. Not everyone wants to deal with their own site. But, I wanted to give you some good constructive criticism and questions. Good luck and I look forward to seeing it grow!

I've added an example link on the landing page how clients can view a user portfolio. It's literally the domain/user/username. For example, https://www.showject.com/user/simpleworker74.
I'm not sure what you mean on this point. I'm assuming you're talking about does each portfolio page only include their projects? If so, then each user will have their own portfolio page. The portfolio page will only show projects published by the account holder. But if you want to search for a project (in general by every user), this can be done using the search bar.
I'm not sure what price to set but it will be lesser than $17? I didn't know it can cost that much? I was thinking about $8-$10 (paid plan) but there will be a free version as well. I'm not 100% sure if pricing is the right move for monetization? I'm sort of experimenting with different routes and figure which is best suited. If you got any other monetization suggestions, let me know.
