Hey IH!
I've recently been inspired by productized service businesses such as Manypixels and WPCurve and I'm planning to apply this productized approach to app prototype development.
The idea is that I would charge a fixed price for the initial UI design and then based on that design I would estimate a fixed, per-screen price for the development of the full prototype.
I've created a website called AppNamu that outlines the pricing and approach. I'm curious what you all think! Does this seem like an attractive offering/business model?
I'd love to hear from you!
I like the idea of productized service businesses and think what you are proposing could work. The site has some issues with images not loading, so that would need to be fixed. There is nothing under the pricing, is that on purpose?
Having more sample apps would help, to give the customer feedback on what you can do.
Thanks for the feedback!
I enabled Cloudflare on the site recently and it looks like it was messing up the images and pricing table. I've disabled it so you should be able to see the pricing now!
Basically I'm thinking of charging $1000 for the initial design and then $500-$2000 per screen based on the complexity of the app.
I have another app I've developed for a client that I'm going to add as a case study soon as well. It's a simpler app and will be a good example of the lower end of what I'd charge.
