There needs to be a way to input past milestones once I create a project.
I don't think anyone should be able to edit any product, I think there should at least be a verification process if this is allowed though.
Good point. I was thinking that everybody can add products – you find something interesting and post it (doesn't need to belong to you). Can we do it like this – user who is marked as an "owner" of the product can confirm this by signing in with Twitter and saying "yes, that's mine"? I could also send a Tweet from @makehubio to owner saying something like "hey, you have been added as a maker of this product, log in to approve"?
When you have claimed your product, only you can edit. Obviously, when you add a product that's owner matches with your logged in Twitter user, there's no point of additional verification.
Sounds like a good idea.
Another thing I found was the ability to add null products, you can see that I've added one.
I think at least the name should be a required field for adding a product as I was able to edit the product and remove the name.

I guess this can be turned off... but I do have an idea for the future that would need this permission – send update to Twitter when completing something (of course you would choose if you want to use this). Something like this:
