I've mentioned this already in the context of some other IH conversations, but please let me briefly present my own little side-project. It's a physical pocket notebook, sort of my attempt to put a kanban board in my pocket --- but at the same time, not on my smartphone. It borrows a little bit from Agile sprint planning/review, and a little from the Ivy Lee Method (6 most impt tasks per day).
A PDF version can actually be downloaded for free and printed if you want to try it yourself. I've done a small print run, and I've started selling - just a handful so far - but would still welcome any feedback on this if anyone is willing to give it a look or test it out.
I'm still mostly trying to figure out if this productivity system really works for many people other than myself!
Thanks!
@twentyweeks Glad to see more physical products on the platform!
It looks like a solid tool for planning. I would have two comments:
1.What changes in productivity/approach ahve you seen by using it yourself.
2. Have you reached out to any influencial people in the time/life hack sphere to try get the word out there, as we as their more educated opinions on the product.
Hey, thanks @JulianSamarjiev. To answer your questions:
a) improved consistency, and the ability to complete long term goals (namely this notebook!), and...
b) better acceptance of my unproductive time; i.e. I don't necessarily have to do complete six tasks in a day, but in fact, if I can make two tiny steps towards my long term goals in the run of a day, that's pretty good.
c) I'm also now better at scheduling in rest and leisure time. I have a five-year-old kid, and this notebook thing is all part of an effort to better manage my day job, family time, and yet still take consistent bites out of personal projects like this one when I can.
Complete truth!
Respect for the work you are putting in while having a job and a family!
All the best and success with the product! Keep the community in the loop and let me know if I can help in any way 👍
