Show IH: Free, no-auth site monitoring, too simple?

I built a simple website monitoring tool over the weekend: on404.com

It checks your sites every 10 minutes and lets you monitor up to 10 sites for free. You’ll get an email alert if your site goes down.

I mainly built this because most tools felt either overkill or paid too early for small projects. I wanted something dead simple to just know: “is my site up?”

No login complexity, no heavy dashboards — just basic monitoring.

Would love honest feedback:

  • Is this useful to you?
  • Is this simple enough, or too minimal?”
  • What’s missing for your use case?
  • Would you actually rely on something like this?

I don’t think it’s too simple — it’s actually clear what it does, which is rare in this space.

The bigger question is probably who this is perfect for. Indie devs? side projects? small client sites?

Feels like if that’s nailed, “simple” becomes the strength, not the limitation.
