Show IH: How I built a Mailinator clone for my domain

Famously, Mailinator lets you create @mailinator.com email ids on the fly without requiring sign-up and instantly start receiving emails on that newly created email id. In this project, I built exactly that for my own domain.

I, like many of us IndieHackers, have more side projects and domains than we know what to do with them.

The usual workflow after acquiring a domain is to create one or maybe a handful of email addresses for that domain so that you can start receiving emails on that domain.

At this point, most people would either use mail forwarding or buy a mailbox from Google or some such provider and link the domain to that mailbox.

I decided to do something else.

I built myself a way to get unlimited email accounts on my domain without needing to pay an email provider for them and also a browser based client to see those emails in real time.

Voila! A Mailinator clone but for your own domain.
