Hi Indie Hackers! 👋
Like many of you, I'm suffering from "SaaS Subscription Fatigue". Every little Shopify app nowadays wants $10-$20/month just for being a basic API wrapper.
So, I spent this past weekend building a "scratch-your-own-itch" tool using the new DeepSeek V3 API to solve Shopify SEO product updates.
The Product:
It's a browser extension that bulk generates SEO Meta Titles & Descriptions for Shopify products directly in the admin panel.
The Tech Stack:
The Business Model:
Instead of another SaaS, I'm trying something different:
My Ask:
I'd really love feedback on this model. Is selling "software + source code" for a one-time fee a viable alternative to micro-SaaS in 2026?

Lifetime deal plus source code is an interesting combo - you're basically selling to two different buyers, the person who wants the tool and the developer who wants to learn from or extend it. Curious how you're pricing the source code angle, because that could easily be worth more than the tool itself to the right buyer. What's the actual SEO workflow it handles, on-page analysis, content generation, something else?
