Show IH: PressJS - A headless Wordpress that lets you add a fully featured blog to your React App

What do you guys think of an easy way to add a blog to a React app without the need to use complex frameworks like Gatsby or Next.js.

If you have created an app and want to grow it, a blog is one of the best tools for your marketing strategies. Unfortunately it is not easy to add a blog to an existing React app. Most teams try to host a full Wordpress installation on a subdomain or even worse host their blog on Medium.com - both solutions are poorly integrated with their React app.

PressJS allows team to insert a blog without much hassle, that look and feels like their app and can be modified with the same technology.

You can check PressJS at: https://pressjs.com

What do you think?

Tbh, I don't understand how it works. I mean, not at all. Okay I create the blog on your website and then how does it get integrated into my app? Will it be with a lame iframe? And why Wordpress, will I need to take care of PHP, or will I be able to use all available Wordpress plugins? How is it performance-wise? How will it impact my build process? How do you make money from me?

This feels like a strange offer, not straightforward to understand. Should explain much much more.

Also noone spends 10 months setting up a blog. Wordpress has a five minute install, so everything included one might spend a full day but not more.

      Thanks for the honest feedback.

The idea is, that you get a premade react blog component that connects to the wordpress backend and you can easily style.

Why Wordpress? Because it's a time tested solution and an ecosystem that is second to none, if you want to create a blog/cms.

Not if you want to integrate it with your React app.

        Okay then my tips:

        • show how the process is for me to do set up that blog (for example in the form of steps)

        • show the advantages of using Wordpress as a blog system
