Hey Indie Hackers,
We're the makers of https://www.indiehackers.com/businesses/html-color-codes (now at $4k/mo), and we recently had a bit of free time and thought it made sense to try and deploy our SEO strategies to our SaaS application Monograph.
The curated list website appears to be a common paradigm in SEO (I mean Capterra does 10s of Millions essentially doing that) and so we created our own take by curating all the software that our customers are using at their office.
In addition, we described this in our Color Codes article, but design plays a big part in making our SEO websites successful. In this case we spent about 1/2 the time working on the header illustration and javascript animation to add that playful, architectural design element.
I'll update this post as we see the success/failure of applying this knowledge to a marketing initiative.
Super cool. Appreciate the deep diving into SEO strategy.
How many of those pages have you rolled out? How are they doing? How are you promoting them?
Wrote a much more in-depth post a bit after this one: https://www.indiehackers.com/forum/seo-strategy-to-rank-1-in-6-months--KwMm3VPLaL_WCapX7jN
Many thanks. Will review that.
