Every time my friends wanted a cute symbol like 𝜗ৎ or ⋆˚꩜。 for their TikTok bio, we'd end up on some sketchy site with 5 pop-ups and a "click here to copy" button that never worked. So I built the tool I actually wanted to use.
Simbolos is a clean, mobile-first symbol picker. One tap to copy. No ads. No account needed. Just curated collections of aesthetic symbols, Joker emojis, Sigma faces, and whatever else Gen Z is using these days.
Built it over a weekend with Next.js + Tailwind, threw it on Vercel, and posted a TikTok. Woke up to 50K views and my first 10K users. Turns out people really hate those ad-heavy emoji sites as much as I do.
Current stats:
45K monthly users
200K+ symbols copied daily
Top traffic source: TikTok (didn't see that coming)
The site pays for itself via small display ads, but I'm experimenting with sponsored symbol collections. Imagine a brand paying to have their custom emoji set featured. Still figuring that part out.
Try it: https://simbolos.app
What would you add? Thinking about a "favorites" feature so users can save their go-to symbols.
