Show IH: Travel Curated, a user curated directory of the best travel websites and resources.

Hi all!

I'm a long time IH lurker... I've just moved to Bali and in preparation for my travels I was struggling to find a website that brought together the 'best' travel sites and guides/tools/resources.

I've taken (obvious) inspiration from sites like Product Hunt, Freelancer Stack, and a few other of the 'curated' / stack sites.

The Goal
I wanted to create a project with a community of travellers that will essentially take out the middle man (me) of finding great resources while planning your next trip.

Right now when you search on Google for the 'best travel sites', you get biased blog posts based on whatever affiliate links the writer can get paid from. This leads to the same lists over and over again for 'best flight search tool', or 'best hotel booking site', etc.

If we instead had a site that had all USER submitted content, with USER's voting upon that content - ideally the best links would rise to the top, and the crappy ones stay out of sight.

Elevator Pitch
I created Travel Curated because I was tired of scouring through hundreds of blog posts and biased sites to find things like travel hacks, packing tips, flight deals, etc.
I want this to become the one stop shop for travellers looking for reliable travel resources.

I created this out of personal need, and throughout my trip already I find myself opening up www.travelcurated.com to easily get to all the different travel links.

So... all in all:
It's useful for me, and I hope you guys (and others) can understand the idea behind the site, and ideally start to use it as well!

It's still in beta phase... there are probably some things that are broken. This is my FIRST web app I've released into the public so I expect to come across some problems of course.

This isn't my official launch, I'm working with some people from the coworking space here in Bali to help me find some bugs... I'm hoping by the end of the week I will be complete and ready to post to Reddit / Product Hunt, etc.
