Show IH: Turn chrome tab into a markdown/text editor

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tabnotes/omgomlnnfccahaaicaphjjgkjplfkjai

Features:

  • Markdown Preview
Take notes in markdown, and preview as HTML. Press esc key to toggle HTML Preview.

  • Dark mode
Developer loves the dark mode. So we have the one. Default theme is white.

  • Auto Save
You don't need to save your text note. When you open new tab start from where you were left.

  • Multiple notes.
Chrome allows you to store up to 5MB. It's enough to save 5,000 notes of small size.

  • Offline Storage
Notes are stored directly in your browser. So only you can access your notes.

This looks nice. Congrats on building a launching it.

I myself is working on a side project and very much interested in your product journey, specifically how you decided to work on this particular idea. This would be super helpful for thinking new ideas.

This is pretty cool and actually something I think I'll use.

I don't know that I like it high jacking ALL of my new tabs though. I wish there was a mode where I either had a hot-key to open a tab as the markdown editor or use the icon in the chrome bar.

Also, support for templates would be cool.
